Wildlife, Hunting and Fishing:
Wildlife is plentiful in the Elk City State Park. You will see white-tailed deer, wild turkey along with squirrels, raccoons, a variety of birds and the fishing is plentiful.
Non-resident hunting licenses may be purchased for $70 and turkey tags run around $35.
Crappie is in SEASON during your stay at Elk City State Park! There are a variety of options for fishing: $5 for 24-hours, $25 for 5 days or $30-35 for an annual permit, non-resisdent.
Park History & Size:
The State Park was leased from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers in 1967 and the lease area involved 1,127 acres for the period of 25 years, for Public Park and recreational purposes. The Elk City project maintains approximately 4,500 water acres at normal flood pool.

Campsites:
Campsites are available with 2 to 3 utilities depending upon availability. Sewage removal will be provided for the 2 utility sites.
